Privacy Policy

The short answer: we don't collect your information. Kithly's apps keep what you write on your own devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. Kithly can't see it. We have no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we never sell or share data, because we don't have it.
Everything you put in our apps
Your to-dos, handwriting, notes, people, dates and settings are stored on your device. When iCloud is turned on for the app, they sync between your devices through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database). Apple stores that data under its own privacy policy; Kithly has no access to it.
Our apps don't use analytics or advertising SDKs, don't create accounts, and don't send your content to Kithly. Our website uses no cookies and no tracking.
GoodPlanner
- Handwriting recognition runs on your device. Your ink is not uploaded anywhere to be recognized.
- Siri and Shortcuts: when you add a to-do with Siri, Apple processes the request under Apple's privacy policy, then the to-do is saved in the app like any other.
- The Today widget reads a copy of today's list kept on your device, inside the app's own storage.
GoodFriends
- Contacts: if you choose to import people from Contacts, the app reads the contacts you select on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
- AI greetings (optional, off unless you set them up). If you add your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and ask for an AI-written greeting, the app sends that request straight from your device to the provider you chose. The request contains the person's first name (not their full name), the occasion (with their age or the number of years, when known), the tone you picked, and any notes you've written about that person, word for word. Kithly doesn't receive the request or the reply; the provider handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. Your API key is kept on your device.
Deleting your data
Delete items in the app. While iCloud is on for the app, a deletion also removes the item from your iCloud and your other devices. Deleting the app removes what's stored on that device. If you'd like help removing everything, write to privacy@kithly.io.
Children
Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anyone's information, a child's or otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If an app ever starts to collect information, we'll say so here and in the app before it does.
